About The Hospital
National Dental Centre Singapore
In 1929, the Norris Block of General Hospital at Sepoy Lines, now known as Singapore General Hospital (SGH), was the location of the first dental school and clinic. A new facility was built to meet the rising demand for dental care in 1938. The school and clinic were given the new name Singapore General Hospital Dental Clinic after being relocated. Students received training there, and dental care was offered. The clinic continued to run after the dental school relocated to Kent Ridge in 1986, and its name was changed to Government Dental Clinic.
