Mr Waterhouse has a substantial publication history with over 65 peer-reviewed articles and remains involved in current research into aesthetic surgery. He is also an active educator, teaching undergraduate degrees and lecturing globally. He recently performed a live facelift in Berlin for his fellow surgeons in the German Society of Plastic Surgeons.

He is the co-founder of a children's charity called 'Facing the World', which provided craniofacial procedures to children unable to access effective healthcare.
