Dr Shahidi is a highly experienced Respiratory Consultant based in Buckinghamshire. She completed her undergraduate medical degree from the University of London, graduating in 1993 and continued her post-graduate training in London also. She received specialist training at the Royal Brompton Hospital Specialist Respiratory Centre - the UK's most respected specialist heart & lung hospital and research institute; receiving excellent mentorship early on in her career.
Dr Shahidi took up her initial Consultant post in 2006, giving her over 15 years as a consultant. She is the NHS Buckinghamshire Lead for Tuberculosis, Bronchiectasis and Respiratory Infections and Long Covid. In addition to which she is the Deputy Medical Director for Quality and Patient Safety in her NHS practice.
Dr Shahidi's sees patients with lung cancer, asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, respiratory allergies, sleep problems such as obstructive sleep apnoea & obesity hypoventilation, interstitial lung disease, tuberculosis, respiratory infections, Long Covid, investigation of abnormal shadows on chest x-rays or CT scans; with her many years of experience she is able to treat a wide range of complex conditions with care tailored according to the individual needs of her patients.
