Mr John Dickinson is a Consultant with a specialist interest in Plastic Surgery. He works at Spire Hospitals in Slough and Reading, the Berkshire Independent Hospital in Reading, the Circle Hospital in Reading, BMI hospitals in Windsor and Great Missenden. His clinical practice also covers Buckinghamshire and West London. He graduated at Newcastle University and completed surgical training in Sheffield, Oxford, Aylesbury and London and also received fellowship training in Kentucky, USA.
He first achieved his position as a Consultant in 1990 at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury and then went on to work in Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals in 1992. He has several years of experience through working in the NHS. He specialised in Hand Surgery, Breast Reconstruction, Skin Cancer management and Reconstructive surgery. At the same time, he also developed a cosmetic surgery practice which led him to leave his position as an NHS Consultant in 2007 and instead pursue work in private practices.
His current practice specialises in cosmetic surgery of the face, nose breasts and abdomen. With his previous experience in Hand surgery, he also treats patients with Dupuytren's disease, Carpal Tunnel syndrome and Rheumatoid arthritis.
He is also a member of several organisations, including The British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and The British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH).
Apart from his work he enjoys sailing, cycling and hill walking, skiing, reading and listening to classical music.
