About

Dr. Shankey Garg is an accomplished anaesthetist with over 6 years of experience, currently associated with Max Healthcare in New Delhi.
She completed her post-graduation (MD) in anaesthesia from the prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh.
Dr. Garg developed a specific interest in transplant anaesthesia during her MD, leading her to pursue a one-year liver transplant anaesthesia (PDCC) fellowship at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi.
During her fellowship, she gained extensive experience in providing anaesthesia for more than 20 living donor liver transplant recipients and also worked in the transplant ICU, caring for liver transplant recipients and donors.
After her fellowship, Dr. Garg completed her senior residency in the Department of Anaesthesia and Critical Care at PGIMER, Chandigarh. During this time, she gained expertise in perioperative management for kidney transplant recipients, major gastrointestinal surgeries, urology procedures, orthopedic surgeries, and obstetric patients.
Her senior residency also fostered a particular interest in labour analgesia, as she believes all pregnant women should have the right to pain-free childbirth.
Dr. Shankey Garg then joined Max Super Speciality Hospital, Vaishali, as a consultant in the Department of Critical Care, where she continued her involvement in the living donor liver transplant program.
