He possesses over 15 years of experience in managing complex GI surgical cases, including advanced Laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Shetty has a keen interest in Laparoscopic surgery and has actively contributed to the development of "Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS)" since its initiation in Bangalore in 2009.
His expertise lies in Bariatric Surgery, Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery, and Advanced Laparoscopic GI surgery.
He has received the Best Paper Award in the Indian Chapter of the ICS 2010 for "Single Incision Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy – Our experience."
Dr. Shetty was involved in assisting in the live operative workshop for Biliary tract surgery at the PSG Surgicon, Coimbatore, in February 2010.
He has actively participated in the proceedings of the Bangalore Surgical Gastro group with interesting case capsule presentations.
