Dr. Merina Ahmed is a highly experienced Consultant Clinical Oncologist specializing in the treatment of lung, lymphoma, and skin cancers. She has been a part of The Royal Marsden Hospital since 2003. Dr. Ahmed qualified at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, Imperial College London, and completed a period of research from 2007 to 2009 at The Royal Marsden and The Institute of Cancer Research, focusing on head and neck cancer. She was awarded her MD in 2010 and subsequently appointed as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at The Royal Marsden and St George’s Hospital. Her practice involves treating patients with early and advanced stages of lung cancer, haematological malignancies, and non-melanoma skin cancers. Dr. Ahmed has developed expertise in stereotactic radiotherapy and CyberKnife radiotherapy, forming a significant part of her research program, alongside interests in functional imaging for lung cancer and the integration of novel biological therapies into radiotherapy for lung cancer.
