Dr. med. Markus Siekiera was born in Stettin. He studied medicine at the University of Hamburg and Würzburg. From 2005 to 2013 he worked in the clinic and polyclinic for cardiology, pulmonology and angiology at the University of Düsseldorf. In 2013, he accepted the offer to become a senior physician and later senior physician at the Academic Teaching Hospital of the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and moved to the Augusta Hospital in Düsseldorf.
