Dr. Deshpande Vasudevarao Rajakumar / Dr. D V Rajakumar is a highly experienced and well-respected neurosurgeon with over 30 years of experience in the field. He currently serves as the Director of the Department of Neurosurgery at Fortis Hospitals Bannerghatta Road in Bangalore. Dr. Rajakumar completed his MBBS from J.S.S Medical College in Mysore in 1982. He went on to pursue a Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch) in Neurosurgery from the prestigious National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) in 1989. In 1996, he underwent a clinical fellowship in Skull Base Surgery at Wayne State University in Detroit, USA. Over the years, Dr. Rajakumar has developed a keen interest in brain tumors and has acquired expertise in minimal access surgeries of the brain and spine. He has a wealth of experience as a neurosurgeon and has special expertise in Brain Tumours (including Skull Base Tumours), Cerebrovascular Diseases, and Spine. Dr. Rajakumar is also currently involved in developing new Endoscopic approaches to Brain and Spine Diseases.
