Dr Cheow is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary and Transplant Surgery. His area of practice is general surgery, with a specialization in open and laparoscopic surgery of the liver, pancreas, and gall bladder, including deceased-donor and living-donor liver transplant. Since 2006, he has been gazetted as a liver transplant surgeon by the Ministry of Health, Singapore. From April 2010 to September 2012, he served as the Surgical Director of the Liver Transplant Program at Singapore General Hospital, and from October 2012 to December 2014, he was the Program's Director. Additionally, he was a member of the Advisory Committee on Transplantation at the Ministry of Health from 2010 to 2015.
