Dr Babar Nazir is a Senior Consultant Radiologist in the Department of Oncologic Imaging at the National Cancer Centre in Singapore. He obtained his MBBS from Aligarh Muslim University in India, where he also received his MD in Radio-diagnosis. Furthermore, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (UK) and completed Advanced Speciality Training in Diagnostic Radiology in Singapore. He was awarded gold medals during his medical school training.
Previously, Dr Nazir worked as an Additional Consultant Radiologist at the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Center in New Delhi, India. During his time there, he actively engaged in image-guided cancer interventions and clinical trials and supervised Diplomate of National Board Trainees. Additionally, he demonstrated a particular interest in pain issues during interventional procedures and conducted a clinical study on periprostatic nerve block for transrectal ultrasound guided prostate biopsy.
Dr Nazir is an esteemed member of the Singapore Radiological Society and the Radiological Sciences Academic Clinical Program in Singapore.
