Dr. Ajit Kumar

Dr. Ajit Kumar is a highly experienced neurosurgeon currently practicing at NMC Speciality Hospital in Al Nahda, Dubai. He has extensive expertise in various neurosurgical procedures, including brain surgery, tumor removal, aneurysm repair, and deep brain stimulation (DBS). Dr. Kumar completed his medical education in India, earning a D.M. in Neurology from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, in 1999. He further specialized with a two-year fellowship in movement disorders at the Pacific Parkinson's Research Centre, University of British Columbia, Canada. His career includes positions as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, and as a Consultant at the Wockhardt Brain and Spine Hospital in Mumbai. Dr. Kumar is recognized for his precision in handling complex neurosurgical cases and his commitment to using the latest techniques to ensure quick patient recovery. He is a life member of the Neurological Society of India and the Indian Academy of Neurology and has received awards such as the Melvin Yahr fellowship and the Silver Jubilee award for the best candidate in D.M.
