Dr Alethea Yee is a Senior Consultant at the Division of Supportive and Palliative Care, National Cancer Centre Singapore.
Dr Yee graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1993. After her postgraduate training in the UK in Internal Medicine, followed by subspecialty training in Palliative Medicine, she returned to Singapore in 2006 to join NCCS to help run its palliative care service, which has since expanded significantly to include research and education arms.
Dr Yee is actively involved in the education and training of residents, nurses, allied health professionals, and medical students. She holds several education leadership posts, including Director of Education, Lien Centre for Palliative Care; Director of Nursing and Allied Health Education, Academic Clinical Program (Oncology); and Program Co-director of the Ngee Ann specialist diploma in Palliative Care Nursing. In addition, she sits on various center-wide, cluster-wide, and national committees for medical training and service development.
