Prof. Dr. Erkin Sönmez

Prof. Dr. Erkin Sönmez is a distinguished neurosurgeon with extensive expertise in brain and spinal surgeries. Born in Ankara in 1980, he completed his medical education at Başkent University Faculty of Medicine in 2004. He pursued his specialization in Neurosurgery at the same institution, completing it in 2010. Prof. Sönmez further enhanced his skills through international fellowships, including the AO Spine Fellowship at Universitätsspital Basel in Switzerland in 2012 and the Eurospine Fellowship at Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi in Milan, Italy, in 2018. His clinical interests encompass spinal surgery, brain tumors, and minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques. Prof. Sönmez has contributed significantly to the field through numerous publications and presentations at national and international conferences.
