Dr. Mahesh Rama Varma C

Dr. Mahesh Rama Varma C is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with over 13 years of experience. He completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Thrissur under the University of Calicut. He then pursued an MD in General Medicine from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry, and a DM in Gastroenterology from Medical College, Trivandrum under Kerala University. He worked as a registrar at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) in Lucknow before becoming an Associate Professor in Medical College Alleppey and later at The Institute of GI and Liver Sciences in Pariyaram Medical College, Kerala.

Dr. Varma joined NMC Royal Hospital, Dubai Investments Park in 2014, where he specializes in hepatology, interventional gastroenterology, and both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies. His areas of interest include endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP with both biliary and pancreatic interventions, and endoscopic procedures for bariatric indications such as balloon placement and Botox injections. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam, and is a Life Member of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology. Dr. Varma has published several international papers and actively participates in conferences to stay updated with the latest advancements in gastroenterology.
